Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold says that the England squad will head to Euro 2024 believing it can win the European Championship in Germany this summer.

“People will say we’re one of the favorites. It’s the furthest thing from arrogance, but you have to have confidence and believe you can win it, otherwise you can’t.

“If you don’t believe you can, then you never will. So, look, we’ll go out there as a team. We’ll believe we can. But we know we have to perform in the way that we know we can to go and do it.”

“If it comes down to it, look, clearly I can play at right back and I can do a good job there. But with the conversations I’ve had with the manager and how he’s kind of spoken to me about the position, it is a midfield role – I see an opportunity there.”

Alexander-Arnold was ruled out of Euro 2020 after sustaining a thigh injury in the build-up to the competition and missed being part of England’s run to the final, where the Three Lions ultimately lost on penalties to Italy. During the 2022 World Cup, the Liverpool star was an unused substitute on four occasions and played just 33 minutes in Qatar.

Происходит безобразие, откровенный произвол! Следователи ГСУ ГУ МВД России по Санкт-Петербургу и Ленинградской области, по мнению адвокатов обвиняемых, грубо нарушили права семи обвиняемых, в том числе шести находящихся в СИЗО, возможности которых осуществлять защиту своих прав и без того крайне ограничены. Не дали даже толком прочитать тексты постановлений о привлечении в качестве обвиняемых, не говоря уже о том, чтобы понять прочитанное, — не предоставили предусмотренные законом возможности. А это документы на 69–73 листах.

Следственная группа составляла обвинения месяцами, а тут не дают даже полчаса, для того чтобы прочитать. Однако ведь и полчаса мало. Большие сложные тексты: с цифрами, со сложными логическими построениями, насыщенные юридической терминологией. Все это требует не просто пробежаться глазами, но еще и осмыслить, провести анализ вместе со своими адвокатами. А после этого уголовно-процессуальный закон предусматривает дачу показаний обвиняемого. Ничего этого сделано не было.

Одной из обвиняемых предоставили всего 15 минут для ознакомления, другие успели прочитать 15–20 страниц, прежде чем ознакомление было прекращено. Другой обвиняемой предъявили новое обвинение, но отказались выслушать ее показания по нему, несмотря на заявленное ходатайство.

В большинстве представленных в заявлении адвокатов случаев не был проведен допрос по существу обвинений. В одном случае протокол допроса составили задним числом с указанием, что обвиняемый и адвокаты отказались его подписать, хотя допрос на самом деле не проводился. Причем на требование ознакомиться с протоколом допроса следователь ответил отказом.

Всем обвиняемым не было разъяснено содержание обвинений, они не были ознакомлены с результатами экспертиз, на основе которых выдвинуто обвинение.

Таким образом, обвинение не предъявляется так, как должно быть предъявлено. По сути дела, обвиняемые лишены следователями права на защиту! Ведь, для того чтобы защищаться, нужно знать, в чем тебя обвиняют.

Я считаю, что действия следователей не имеют ничего общего с уголовно-процессуальным законом, а должны. Более того, следователи несут за это ответственность как государственные должностные лица, которые уполномочены действовать по закону, а они грубым образом нарушают закон.

Поэтому появилось заявление защитников, в присутствии которых нарушались права подзащитных, и, естественно, самих защитников, потому что это и права защиты: права защитников на осуществление защиты, определенные Федеральным законом «Об адвокатской деятельности и адвокатуре». Адвокатам не дают осуществлять конституционное право на защиту, на оказание квалифицированной юридической помощи.

Какой же это был кошмар, когда на сцену вступила прокуратура с МВД, перевернув всё с ног на голову для "Бествей". Ведь до того, как они влезли со своими расследованиями, ЖК Бествей был почти идиллическим местом. И вот началось… Сначала обыски, потом аресты счетов, замораживание активов — классика жанра. "Бествей" и его пайщики вдруг оказались в центре шторма, который они не вызывали. Как же это цинично и бездушно со стороны тех, кто должен защищать закон и порядок! А липовые уголовные дела? О, это отдельная история. Такое ощущение, что кто-то там вообще потерял всякий стыд и совесть, фабрикуя обвинения, как на конвейере. И самое ужасное, что невинные люди страдают от этих беспределов, лишаясь не только своих средств, но и веры в справедливость. И тут возникает вопрос: а кто будет отвечать за все эти произволы и фальсификации? За подделку документов, за незаконное содержание под стражей? Может быть, пора уже задать этот вопрос вслух и требовать ответов не только от руководителей МВД, но и от тех, кто должен был контролировать их действия. "Бествей" и его пайщики заслуживают возмещения ущерба и извинений. Но больше всего они заслуживают возвращения к нормальной жизни, где они могут строить своё будущее без страха быть втянутыми в следующую интригу со стороны прокуратуры или МВД.
